Brittney Sarkela - Owner
People often ask why I got started in CrossFit.
There are so many reasons why but what I love the most about it and what keeps me going is that
Everyday is something different.
There is always new ways to challenge yourself, and the feeling you get after each workout is rewarding.
I grew up being active, and playing sports. My two favorites were soccer and Track.
I ran the 400m, 200m, 4x1 Relay and the 4x4 relay all throughout middle school and high school.
Post High school I played soccer and ran track for Clark College. Sprinting was my jam and I still hold a few records to this day. In 2018 I was inducted into the Clark College Hall of Fame along with the other women on our 2003 team, for winning the NWACC Championship for the first time ever in the schools history.
After Clark I continued my education in Pullman at Washington State University (Go Cougs)
Where I graduated with my BS in Kinesiology/ Movement Studies.
CrossFit reminds me so much of playing a sport and being on a team. The physical and mental aspect of sport carry over into workouts we do regularly. I love that workouts are fun but challenging and you can scale or modify to meet your needs or injuries.
The “team” part is really made up of our members and coaches … our community, or as we call it our family. You train with people day in and day out and they become your teammates, but you also build relationships with these people and they become your friends, and your gym family.
From an owners perspective that is probably one of my favorite things. Watching people transform, achieve goals, and overcome struggles is truly amazing. But also watching the life long friendships and bonds that form inside our walls is something that makes me smile everyday.
