If I'm a beginner can I do CrossFit?

100% yes! CrossFit is a great program for anyone, any age, any fitness level. We start everyone off with the basics no matter what classes you attend. All movements and workouts are scaled to fit YOUR level. We want you to be comfortable and go at a pace you are confident with. We will never push you to do something you do not feel comfortable doing.

Will I get hurt?

Chances are very low, in fact most injuries we see actually happen outside of the gym! Our goal is to teach safety, as well as proper form and technique. We also are very knowledgeable about scaling and modifying workouts to your level. If you are moving correctly and listen to your coaches the chances of injury are very slim.

What if I don't know how to lift weight?

No worries at all, we will teach you everything you need to know when you come to class. From how to select the right weights for you, to breaking down the lifts piece by piece. Once you have learned proper form, technique, and can move safely and efficiently you can start perfecting your movements

 

Isn't CrossFit super intense?

Ideally to get the most benefits and results from your workouts we do encourage you to push your intensity. BUT... that's only when you feel ready. It takes time to learn movements, build stamina, and build confidence in your abilities. As you continue to progress you will naturally start to push a little harder and challenge yourself. We will never force intensity.

Will I see results?

It depends on what you are looking for... Do you want to lose weight? Do you want to gain muscle? Do you need a new hobby? If you show up regularly (3-6 times a week), listen to your coaches (on all levels... this includes sleep, proper nutrition, stress) and put your focus and effort into your workouts you will see the results you are looking for.

... but keep in mind this takes time... it takes a few months for your body to adapt, for you to learn all the new movements, and to gain confidence in yourself and you abilities. So remember this is a process.
